Terms and conditions of online ticket sales
The present terms and conditions of sale are automatically and unrestrictedly applied to all the orders carried out on the internet site http://chateaudechambord.tickeasy.com/ of the public establishment of an industrial and commercial nature (EPIC) known in French as the domaine national de Chambord and in English as the National Estate of Chambord, of which the head office is: Château de Chambord 41250 Chambord. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.The purchase of entrance tickets for the National Estate of Chambord by a customer entails that person's acceptance, without reservation, of the present terms and conditions of sale.
These conditions are applied to the exclusion of all other conditions, particularly those in effect for on-site sales or those carried out through partners' sales networks.
The customer affirms his capacity to conclude the present contract, i.e. having the legal majority and not being under tutorship or guardianship.
Important: If proof of purchase is lost or mislaid, tickets cannot be delivered on site at the reception desk, and the person will be denied access to the site. In any case, we would advise you to consult your electronic mailbox for verification, before checking in at the National Estate of Chambord.
Article 1 - Price and number of admission tickets
1.1 Ticket prices are given in euros net of tax. They are posted at the entrance of the National Estate of Chambord. The National Estate of Chambord can be wholly or partially privatized subject to special charges. In the event of partial closing, works on the premises or reduced opening hours, the prices shall remain unchanged.
1.2 At this time, only full-price individual tickets, guided visits and the horse and birds of prey show are offered for sale on the internet site of the National Estate of Chambord.
1.3 Visitors eligible to avail themselves of a reduced price or free admission (rates of admission may be consulted on http://www.chambord.org/informations-pratiques/tarifs/parkings) shall have their tickets delivered on presentation of valid identification and the accompanying documentary proof.
1.4 In the framework set out by decree n°2004-836 dated 20 August 2004 and issued in application of Article 1341 of the French civil code, the National Estate of Chambord has opted in favor of a limit to the quantity of orders; the total number of tickets that may be purchased by one persons cannot exceed 19, whatever their prices.
1.5 Whatever their provenance, all orders are payable in euros.
1.6 Even though the National Estate of Chambord reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, the applicable rates are those in effect on the day of order. Indeed, service will be billed on the basis of the rates in effect at the moment of order registration.
1.7 Vehicle parking is authorized in the parking areas provided for that purpose. Parking is subject to acceptance of the rules and regulations of the National Estate of Chambord and to payment of a daily passenger-car fee. 1.8 The tickets sold on internet are not no-queue tickets.
Article 2 - Availability
2 - The National Estate of Chambord offers for sale on its internet site a predefined quantity of tickets. It reserves the right to increase or to reduce the number of tickets offered for sale.
A ticket is sold for a day of visit chosen by the customer.
Ticket purchase is carried out in real time. In this context, the internet site informs you of ticket availability at the time of the placing of your order.
The "My Shopping Cart" space enables you to be sure that the order carried out effectively corresponds to your wishes. As long as payment has not been registered, it remains possible, on the "My Shopping Cart" page, for you to modify the contents of your order.
For any cancellation request subsequent to transaction validation, consult Article 9 hereinafter.
Article 3 - Information on the tickets sold
The site presents the essential characteristics of the tickets offered for sale:

Article 4 - Payment
4.1 Payment by bankcard enables you to purchase your tickets on line in a definitive manner. The cards accepted for payment of an order are those of the following networks:
* Blue Card / Visa / Eurocard / Mastercard
* JCB (Japan Credit Bureau)
* American Express
4.2 The public establishment is required to draw up in duplicate a record of transaction including:
* the date, hour, subject and amount of the transaction.
A copy will be conveyed to you by e-mail.
The second copy shall be retained for one year by the National Estate of Chambord.
Article 5 - Payment security and personal data
5.1 Payment security
The site of the National Estate of Chambord is protected by a security system. The National Estate of Chambord has adopted the secure payment solution using the SSL encryption process. Customer banking information is consequently protected; only the payment agreement codes issued by the relevant banks are conserved.

5.2 Personal data
5.2.1 The information and data concerning you are necessary for the management of your order and, more generally, for your relations with the National Estate of Chambord. Barring evidence to the contrary, the recorded data constitute proof of the different transactions conducted by the National Estate of Chambord.
Article 7 - Confirmation of order
A ticket order is definitively confirmed and engages the National Estate of Chambord only once the customer has received e-mail addressed by the contact center confirming that the order has been validated.
Accordingly, we strongly urge you to consult your electronic messenger service or your mail.
In addition, the archiving of orders and settlement vouchers is carried out on a reliable and permanent, irreversible support corresponding to a reliable and durable copy, in accordance with Article 1348 of the French civil code.
Article 8 - Ticket delivery
8.1 Ticket delivery modalities are described below.
Step 1: Carry out the selection of the ticket you have chosen.
Step 2: Proceed to visit date choices. For orders of dated tickets, the customer is advised to verify the date and the hour reserved.
Step 3: Choose the quantity of tickets desired.
Step 4: Add to the shopping cart, and verify its contents.
Before definitively registering the order, the customer may verify his selection and have it modified as he chooses.
Step 5: Proceed to your identification and registration on the site.

8.2 For all payment, debiting is carried out as soon as the order is validated on the site of the National Estate of Chambord. Debiting of your bank card is carried out independently of ticket printing.
8.3 Proof of payment is sent to the e-mail address that you shall have indicated during the ordering process.
Article 9 - Cancellation and reimbursement
9.1 A ticket cannot be reimbursed, returned or exchanged, except in case of cancellation ascribable to the National Estate of Chambord of the activity for which you have purchased it. Nor can a ticket be resold at a price superior to its face value.
9.2 On announcement of the cancellation or modification of the date of an event or performance ascribable to the National Estate of Chambord, you accept that as far as practicable, your customer service may use the contact information you have given during the reservation process in such a way as to keep you informed of the way to proceed.
9.3 In accordance with Article L 121-29-4 of the French Consumer Code, the sale of tickets at the entrance to a museum, which is considered as a delivery of recreational services, confers no right of to a withdrawal or cancellation period.
9.4 Any protest, whatever its nature, must be formulated in writing and addressed to customer service (see Article 10 hereinafter) on the day of the visit at the latest.

Article 11 - Responsibilities and liabilities
You have got to verify the ticket(s) and confirmation of online purchase at the time when they are delivered or received in your electronic mailbox. You alone are responsible for use of the tickets sold by yourself or a third party.
The National Estate of Chambord cannot be held liable for non-execution originating in a force majeure case beyond its control, including, in particular, transportation interruption, strikes, exceptionally adverse weather conditions, fire...
Visitors must comply with the rules for the visitor posted at the entrance of the National Estate of Chambord.
The visitor is committed to following all instructions conveyed by the National Estate of Chambord on the organization of its activities. The National Estate of Chambord reserves the right to deny access to any person whose attitude, behavior or outfit could be considered as susceptible to provoke unrest in the château or to disturb visitors and visits. In this case, no refund can be requested by the customer who shall have been denied access to the Estate for the preceding reasons.
The visitor will be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage that he could occasion by his presence in the Estate, whether the damage affects staff, customers, material or any of the animals present in the Estate.
Finally, the National Estate of Chambord can in no any case be held liable in case of loss or theft of a ticket. No duplicate may be delivered on site.
Rights of reproduction: Any reproduction or use for personal or familial purposes of the image of the château, of the Estate, of exhibited work or of collections has got to be preliminarily requested; the request shall be submitted for authorization to the National Estate of Chambord.
Article 12 - Applicable law - Litigation management
The ticket sales referred to in the present terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law. In case of litigation, only the jurisdictions of the National Estate of Chambord are considered as relevant.
In case of difficulty of interpretation or application of the present terms and conditions, the concerned parties will attempt as far as practicable to settle their dispute amicably. All challenges or objections to which the present terms and conditions of sale could lead must be submitted, even in the event of multiple defendants or the introduction of a third party, to the relevant court of the head office of the National Estate of Chambord.
